Gary M. McFetridge of Joseph died in Walla Walla, Wash. He was born in Lewiston, Idaho, the son of Mike and Joyce “Clark” McFetridge.
He traveled doing construction and logging throughout the states with his permanent residence in Joseph.
He married Gayle Cornwell and later married Glenda Yeoman. He was a county commissioner and loved hunting, fishing, various projects around the home and helping others when in need. He enjoyed visiting with friends and family keeping everyone entertained with his sense of humor.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as a jet mechanic for four years and was honorably discharged in 1963. He was a member of the Elks and a member of the Enterprise Fire Department for many years.
He is survived by his wife Glenda of Joseph, son Tim of Pendleton, Koni Duggan of Montrose, Colo., and Donna Howerton and husband Rick of Walla Walla and six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his parents and sister Jacqueline Goodman.
Graveside services with military honors will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, with a celebration potluck to follow 1 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Enterprise.
