Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, wife, sister and friend passed on Sept. 5, 2018, at 6:23 p.m. She was born Jan. 16 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Judy’s survived by her husband, Earl Glenn Sherod. She had seven children: Cynthia, David, Errol, Aaron, Corey, Melinda and Anthony.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and taught 4-H and Boy Scouts to all the children in the area.
She fought tenaciously against the ALS that plagued her body. She died peacefully in the home where she was raised in Joseph, Oregon. Joseph will forever hold the women who taught her children and all the people who adopted her, of unconditional love and of course how to ride a horse.
She bred and trained many world-class AQHA champion horses in many different events. She was also always known to give anyone a place to stay, anyone a meal, and anyone a horse lesson.
Judy will be buried Oct. 20, 2018 in the Wallowa Cemetery. A celebration of life and reception will be held at the LDS church in Enterprise at 11 a.m. and the proceedings will be finalized with graveside service at the Wallowa cemetery.
