Coaches are still needed.

Published on March 6, 2018 2:32PM

Today is the last day to register for spring programs offered by Wallowa Valley Little League; however, registration can be completed with a late fee.

The nonprofit will sponsor baseball and softball teams.

Baseball begins with students ages 4-5 who will play co-ed T-ball. Students ages 6-8 will play T-ball, ages 8-10 will play minors, ages 10-12 majors and ages 13-14 juniors.

Teams for softball include co-ed T-ball for ages 4-6, machine pitch minors for Ages 7-9 (also six-year-olds with two years of t-ball or matching skill level), Majors for ages 10-12 and juniors for ages 13-14.

Registration is $40 for the first player in the household, $35 for each additional player, plus the late fee of $15 after March 7.

Scholarships are available.

Registration forms can be turned in at all three public schools in the county.

The registration packet includes player registration form, code of conduct form, medical release and a copy of the student’s birth certificate.

Opening day is April 21. Last year, Wallowa hosted the District 3 All Stars tournaments.

There is an ongoing need for coaches. Contact Kalah Grover for details 541-398-2044 or kdgrover34@gmail.com. Additional details are available on Facebook.
